Eemanna is a Chicago-based & Minneapolis-raised songwriter, poet, and space curator. She got her start in songwriting & poetry as a way to process all the feelings that come with being a pre-teen. Eemanna currently creates, teaches, and facilitates as a means to create beauty, share learning and because she feels story-telling is a powerful tool for healing. Eemanna holds a BA in Peace Justice and Conflict Studies and a minor in African Diaspora Studies from DePaul University. Eemanna is a proud plant mom, nature lover, and big foodie who spends her spare time and money time looking for the best places to eat in Chicago.
