From elementary school until high school, Kara Wright was always getting in "trouble" with her parents for reading under the covers long after the lights were supposed to be out and far beyond her bedtime. Her most common response came with explanations and excitement about the current book she was reading, one of which is still her favorite, "Their Eyes Were Watching God." Kara is a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion consultant and is founder of Mindhearted, an online platform for parents around the globe interested in raising children who see the world through an equity lens. She is a former professional songwriter and recording artist and is passionate about continuing to learn what it means to be a servant leader.
